J.Banks & Co Limited is based in the heart of the UK's traditional manufacturing region. The company has been established for more than one hundred and fifty years, a lifetime dedicated to perfecting its traditional craftsmanship in the design and manufacture of locks and hardware. These skills are still strongly evident today in the company's wealth of experience and its proactive approach to market forces and the ever-changing needs of industry.
In recent years the company has developed a programme of continuous improvement and investment in the very latest 'state of the art' equipment, including CNC milling and vertical machining centres, employing high precision CAD/CAM software and manufacturing techniques. In order to meet the challenges of its wide customer base, the company offers a complete in house design through to production facility, employing the latest computerised design and quality management systems which are certified to BS EN ISO 9001: 2008.
J Banks commitment to achieving the highest standards of manufacturing excellence has also been recognised with the award of the environmental management system standard, ISO 14001. This certification provides a clear demonstration of the responsible and integrated approach adopted throughout all departments in the J.Banks group of companies.
