Environmental certification for J Banks

Environmental Certification

Forming a major part of J.Banks commitment to achieving the highest standards of manufacturing excellence, the company has now been awarded certification to the environmental management system standard, ISO 14001.

This latest achievement, combined with the company’s well-established ISO 9001 certification, provides a clear demonstration of the responsible and integrated approach adopted throughout all departments in the J.Banks group of companies.

On formally receiving the certificate from BSI Sales Manager Mike Foley at the recent Glassex exhibition at the NEC Peter Harrison, group technical manager, commented, “We consider this latest certification as good business practice. Our environmental controls now cover all aspects of the business, from new product design through process controls and final packaging. By reducing waste we are able to keep our costs under control whilst minimising our overall impact on the environment”.

Andrew Morris, Business Development Director at BSI said, “J.Banks should be rightly proud of this achievement since businesses that adopt good environmental and social housekeeping can protect their reputation, mitigate risks, improve profitability and produce a better return on investment”.
