J Banks invests in the latest equipment

To meet the company’s increasing demand for Restrictors, Handles and Specialist Locking devices, J.Banks Ltd, one of the UK’s leading door and window hardware manufacturers, has made further substantial investments in the company’s expanding diecasting and machine shop divisions.

The new computer programmed, fully automatic 80 tonne Frech DAW 80F zinc pressure diecasting machine arrived in April and is now ready to take its place on the company’s busy production line, alongside a similar model purchased previously. In addition, the company has further increased its machining centre capacity with the installation of a new GX480, Twin Pallet, Vertical Machining Centre.

Group Managing Director, David Wellman comments, “ The introduction of the latest pressure diecasting machine and our seventh high speed machining centre, represent important additions to our production capacity and will help ensure that we remain at the forefront in both diecasting technology and precision machining”.

“This latest model Frech diecasting machine incorporates advanced electronic systems and precision repeatable programming, enabling us to provide far greater manufacturing flexibility and reduced lead times”.
