J. Banks strengthens its commitment to Occupational Health and Safety

With a strong reputation built on the design, innovation and manufacture of window safety restrictors, J.Banks is determined to continue reinforcing the company’s occupational Health and Safety management throughout the business. In line with this commitment to all employees, the company has taken a further initiative by joining forces with RoSPA the nationally recognised Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents.

In line with the director’s overall commitment and sense of responsibility to the health and safety of company’s one hundred plus workforce, J.Banks already holds the nationally accredited BS OHSAS 18001 – Occupational Health and Safety Management (OHS). As a direct result of applying the ISO 18001 guidelines to create the best possible working conditions across the organisation, the company has already reported a massive 40% reduction in reported accidents in the workplace.

RoSPA plays a unique role in UK health and safety, particularly in workplace environments, providing support to help organisations on their own journey to become safer and healthier places in which to work. In addition the RoSPA’s occupational safety department produces a wide range of advice and information resources on all aspects of accident prevention in and around the workplace.

By combining the company’s effective and proactive approach to the ISO 18001 accreditation, together with the focused support and guidance supplied by RoSPA, J.Banks is in a position to clearly demonstrate its strong and continued commitment to the overall wellbeing, health and safety of the company’s highly valued workforce.
