J.Banks one of the UK’s oldest and most respected hardware manufacturers has taken a further strategic step in increasing the range of in-house facilities by opening a new Zinc Diecasting division in Tipton.

Commissioning the latest ‘state of the art’ Frech DAW 80F Diecasting machine, managing Director David Wellman said, “With our current business growth achieving and beating all expectations, we recognised some time ago that a number of our traditional sub contract suppliers may not be able to cope with our increasing requirements across such a wide range of components.

Rather than take the route of finding more sub contractors or out sourcing products from the Far East, we instead prefer to maintain our philosophy, wherever possible, of complete in-house autonomy of all manufacturing processes. By investing in the Frech 80F we believe we now have one of the most advanced Diecasting technology machines available in the UK”.

“The introduction of our Diecasting facility allows us to operate a highly efficient component supply chain and more importantly, with the production process under our complete control, we can ensure that our demanding standards of quality are fully maintained”.

The Diecasting operation is the latest investment in a wide range of facilities now available within the J.Banks group; these include: Security and Safety Products, Commercial Architectural Hardware, Vertical Sliding Sash Products, Bespoke Design and Product Development, CNC and VMC Machining and Plastic Injection Mouldings.
