New apprenticeship scheme announced

Due to the effects of a national skills shortage in engineering and with a view to the group’s future requirements for experienced engineers, J.Banks has announced the introduction of the J.Banks Apprenticeship Scheme.

Working closely with EEF and Wolverhampton College, the company has initially appointed three engineering apprentices who are currently undergoing initial shop floor training, coordinated with their well-structured academic studies.

The group has great expectations that the new initiative will develop into an ongoing scheme and will ultimately lead to a succession of fully qualified engineers becoming major assets in the future growth and success of the business.
